This is not Grace Church’s actual website, but a conceptual design based on their current site. The goal here was to come up with a minimalistic design with hidden depth. Of particular interest here are the “floating mini-pages” brought up by clicking the menu in the upper right corner of the page, and the purpose-built XML parser to grab Twitter feeds (in this case, the pastor’s tweets).
With all the talk of Wordpress sites in our earlier portfolio entries, it occurred to us we ought to add our site to our portfolio, if only to say a bit about how it was constructed. This site uses a custom CMS (content management system) we designed specifically for our site, and wrote from scratch in PHP. So you see we’re as comfortable starting from scratch as we are leveraging existing technologies.
This is our most recent (as of October, 2011) major website design. This, too, is built on top of Wordpress, using a completely original custom theme. Note that with skilled craftsmanship (if we do say so ourselves), it’s possible to completely remove that “cookie cutter” feel from Wordpress sites.
This is Rick’s personal blog, using a completely original custom theme on top of Wordpress. As you can see by the lack of updates, there always seems to be something else demanding his attention...
We updated an existing design for Kingdom Construction, and added a photo CMS (content management system) so the client could add his own ‘Before & After’ photographs of his work.
Not everything we do is a web site. Freedom Ministries is an organization in Bowie, Texas, where we used to live. We worked on printed matter for the organization, such as this tri-fold brochure we wrote and designed for them. We also worked on promotional materials for their fundraising events. You can see a sample on the Brochures/Samples tab of our main page.
The Element is a luxurious salon and day spa serving the greater Bowie area. We feel this design reflects well the elegance and sophistication of the establishment and its clientele.
Joyphul Noize is a music magazine my brother and I are hoping to launch later this year. We’re still tweaking the design, but would like to share our current direction.
We were given free reign in designing the new website for Silver Lakes Community Church, a local community of believers who had outgrown their previous web presence.
We feel this new design walks a fine line between classical and contemporary elements, and in doing so portrays well the church’s outreach across socio-economic boundaries.
We were asked to come up with a logo and a poster to promote a multi-church youth rally in Bowie, TX on October 6th, 2009. Our clients were quite pleased with the results.
This site was built from the ground up by Isaiah 54 Productions. The company is the leading manufacturer of and installs poured resinous epoxy and ESD floor coverings.
This was our home church when we lived in Bowie, TX. The site is no longer online, but this is an archive of the site we designed for them.
Bowie Mission exists for one reason: to help those in need in Montague, County, Texas, become self-sufficient. This is another site that is no longer online. The link is to an archive on our site of the design they signed off on.
While the First Baptist Church, Tempe, AZ site was already designed when we worked on it, we streamlined and updated much of the coding, bringing it into line with current web best practices. In the process, we cleared up some bottlenecks which were making it difficult for church staff to maintain the site.
